Measuring fun

This week T13 and T14 have been exploring how we can measure length.

Our first challenge was to find things around the studio that were longer than, shorter than and the same as our foot measure.

We had to work with a buddy and show Kotahitanga.

It was tricky finding things that were exactly the same length as our foot. 

We took photos on the iPad using Book Creator to show what we had found.

 Our next challenge was to come up with some measuring rules while we were estimating and measuring different objects around the studio.

We decided we needed to use things that are the same size.

We needed to make sure we measure from one end to the other end in a straight line.

We made sure we left no spaces or didn't overlap.

 We recorded our estimates and measures on a chart, taking turns with our buddy.
