On Wednesday, we headed off in a light drizzle to the quarry to have a fantastic day learning about the history of the quarry and exploring the park.
We spent time at the Singlemens Quarters and learnt some interesting facts about what it would have been like while living there. We had to complete a scavenger hunt inside the Quarters, our favourite part was playing on the piano in the lounge!
After that we headed down to the crusher plant and had to build our own walls using quarry stone. We all did a fantastic job working together.
Once we had finished building our walls we headed to the wetlands to hear about how the area was used in pre colonial times.
We then headed down to have lunch, a play and complete a nature treasure hunt
A huge thank you to all of our parent helpers today, this trip would not have been possible with out you!
