Today we were lucky to have one of our families share how they celebrate Diwali. One way they celebrate is by decorating with Rongoli patterns to welcome visitors. Rongoli patternsare bright and colourful and made with coloured powder. We got to have a go at making the rangoli patterns outside Tī Kōuka.
Some children also decided to make their own patterns using chalk.
During maths, we used symmetry and rotational symmetry to create rangoli patterns too.
