Grandparents Day

 We had fun welcoming our grandparents to school today and showing them around Tī Kōuka.

Football skills

We love Tuesdays as we have library and PE. 

For the next three weeks, we are lucky to have Coach Paul and Coach Tom from Christchurch United taking us for football skills. We had two rules: we weren't allowed to touch the ball with our hands, and we weren't allowed to do big kicks. We learnt how to tick tock, walk the dog and do a trick with the ball.

Planting our vege garden

 The seedlings that were planted at the end of last term and cared for by our children over the holidays were ready to be planted!

We planted beans, peas, cucumbers, pumpkin, tomato, and flowers to get encourage the bees to pollinate our plants!

Swimming

The start of the term also means the start of swimming! It has been great to see the children enjoyment and confidence in the pool increase over the first week and we look forward to seeing their progress next week!
