ANZAC Day
Today we listened to the story "Here they come, a day to remember." We shared lots of personal stories including wearing our grandfather's medals, making ANZAC biscuits and attending the parades.
We then made our own poppies. Have a look!

Retelling The Creation of Tuna
We have continued to explore our local history by exploring a local Maori myth about how Tuna (different eels) were created. We first read 'The Creation of Tuna' and the children loved hearing about the myth. We then retold the myth through a picture plan in our books. We then used the picture plan to retell the story in our own words.
Finally we drew pictures and uploaded these to Book Creator, to retell the story in another way. Here are some of our stories that we have uploaded to Book Creator.
